How to enter our competition
Tell us about an author, speaker, teacher or contributor to the field of ELT (that you don’t know personally) who has influenced you and explain how they have. Additionally, imagine you had the chance to meet this person face-to-face: what would you specifically discuss and ask them about? Why? How might it contribute to your development as a teacher at this stage in your career?
Small caveat: This is a competition for new members, so that means you cannot be a current individual member of IATEFL, so if you are, maybe you know a colleague who isn’t that would be interested. But otherwise, we welcome submissions from any ELTer in the world.
Winners might have the chance to talk to their inspiring ELT selection and have this posted on our blog, journal or podcast. 🙂
Suggested word count: 300-500 words
Judging criteria: We’re looking for interesting choices, insightful questions that will create engaging dialogue between you and your selected person, and of course, a clear relationship to teacher development!
